Inspiration

I found the image in the middle during a Google search to find inspiration for a more run down, dystopian city scene. The surrounding images around it depict my attempt to recreate it. At least mimic a similar feel and sense of scale as well as destruction.

Rundown Subway

My renders to date have involved interiors or large street scenes. So this week I’ve decided to look more at the literal underbelly of the city. I wanted to create a sense of dystopian as well as attempt to make them set in the future.

Photoshop rain experiments

Inspired by recent experiments into rain. I have decided to experiment in creating a similar effect in real world images.

In these experiments I’ve been trying to create a more dark depiction of the future. Dark being the operative word. I’ve also started to add more of an atmosphere and environment by creating fog.

The art of rain

I’ve decided that my city scenes always seem to be set during bright sunny days. And since my story is set in London, I thought I would mix it up in terms of weather conditions and time of day. In this first experiment I tried to create realistic looking rain.
